Here is a goodie from a few years back when I used to have my Holly’s Handmade Etsy shop open. I love these brilliant green beauties, and they are super easy to make too!
Materials:
- 24 gauge sterling silver half-hard wire
- 2 sterling silver ear hooks
- sterling silver chain
- 2 rectangle stones
- flat nose pliers, round nose pliers & cutters (if you need tools, this is a great set Beadsmith 9 Piece Ergonomic Tool Kit Pliers / Jewelry
)
Directions:
Cut two 4.5 inch lengths of 24 gauge sterling silver half-hard craft wire. Use your round nose pliers to create a loop at one end of each piece, straighten it out with your flat nose pliers.
Approximately 2 centimeters below the loop, bend the wire using your flat nose pliers at a 90 degree angle. Next bend the wire another inch or so below your last bend to create one side of your triangle.
Cut six lengths of chain as follows: two at 2.5 cm, two at 4.5cm and two at 6.5cm.
Now you have all the parts needed to assemble your two earrings as seen below:
Take one of your pieces of wire and thread on your longest piece of chain, then the middle length, next the shortest and then the stone. Next thread on the loose end of the shortest chain length, then the middle length and finally the longest length.
Use your flat nose pliers to bend your wire up after your last piece of chain to complete the triangle. Wrap the extra wire 2-4 times up to the loop and cut off the excess. Attach the ear hook to the loop. Repeat to make the second earring.
And you are done!
